Seashell hunters have some new grounds to explore in Delray Beach thanks to a local beach renourishment project.

The renourishment project removed sand from a nearby beach and deposited the sifted remains in Anchor Park, where shell seekers have been digging through the rocks and damaged shells in search of conchological gold. Shell enthusiasts are invited to join in on the hunt from sunrise to sundown each day. Top finds, as reported by the Sun Sentinel, include shells of olive, green star and alphabet cone snails.

Another load of seashells were dropped off just this morning, so happy hunting.
