Offset holiday eating by signing up for any of these local running events in November and December. If you don’t feel in shape to run, do a quick walk. The goal is to get outside, move and socialize.
(Ok, I threw in one race in the Keys because it sounds like fun.)

The 27th Annual Delray Beach Turkey Trot
What: 5K run/walk
When: Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 a.m.
Where: Anchor Park, 340 South Ocean Blvd., Delray Beach
How much: $30 for the run, $25 for the walk

When: Saturday, Nov. 30 at 8 a.m.
Where: Hog’s Breath Saloon, 400 Front Street, Key West
How much: $25 until race day, $30 on race day.

What: A one-mile race
When: Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:05 p.m. (during the Boca Raton Holiday Parade)
Where: 777 S. Federal Highway, Boca Raton
How much: $20 for adult,; $10 for kids 16 and younger
