The SA Company, an outdoor clothing manufacturer based right here in Boca Raton, has pledged to give away 100,000 Face Shield® tubular bandanas for free, beginning on Wednesday, April 15th.

The company is doing its part to support the community as the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold. Last week, the City of Boca Raton issued an emergency order recommending the use of cloth face coverings while in public spaces.

The giveaway, intended to be the first of several, will take place at 1140 Holland Drive in Boca Raton from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. 10,000 masks will be available during the first distribution. The masks will be distributed in no-contact fashion, and with one available for each person who is present. The face shields are lightweight, UV resistant, and moisture wicking. They are also available to purchase for $19.99 at the SA Company’s website.

“We recently donated 5,000 of our Face Shields® to first responders and hospitals, and with the recent emergency order recommending all residents wear cloth masks in public, we wanted to do something to help our community,” said Thomas Desernia, CEO and founder of SA Co., a native of Boca Raton.

Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer and City Council member Andy Thompson will join Desernia in distributing the masks at the company’s facility.
