Delray Beach must persuade a judge on Tuesday why the meeting on whether to fire City Manager George Gretsas should proceed as scheduled on Nov. 20.
Palm Beach County Circuit Judge John Kastrenakes scheduled a hearing for 10 a.m. on Tuesday in response to a motion from Gretsas’ attorneys. Gretsas wants the hearing delayed until the city produces what he claims are 7,000 missing records essential to his defense. The city already delayed the hearing once because the records weren’t available.
