A: Bees, like other animals and insects, often seek respite from the intense Florida sun, so they frequently build their hives inside soffits, barbecue grills, walls, garbage cans, mail boxes, bird houses, laundry rooms, flower pots, water meters, irrigation boxes, and sheds.
