As February ends, we have an exciting annual event to kickstart March. Typically held in January, this year’s #LoveDelray Fashion Experience “is a spinoff of Delray Beach Fashion Week, and incorporates art, culture and fashion,” says Laura Simon, Executive Director of the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA). Presented by Old School Square and powered by the Delray Beach DDA, proceeds from the events on March 2 and March 3 will benefit local nonprofit the Achievement Centers for Children and Families

Opening night on Thursday, March 2, will feature the beloved Runway Show against the iconic backdrops of the Cornell Art Museum and Pavilion at Old School Square. Themed “Bikinis to Ball Gowns,” local merchants and designers will showcase over 40 looks on models down the expansive runway stage. It’s an evening of style that truly highlights the talent that we have right here in our beloved community. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit Cornell Art Museum’s “Surfing Florida” exhibitions.

Following the much-anticipated fashion show, do not miss out on some fun shopping with the “Love Your Way Thru Delray” Sip and Shop on March 3. Starting at 10 a.m., fuel up on a light breakfast with champagne and mimosas at the Cornell Art Museum before heading out to shop at the wide assortment of downtown boutiques. Better yet, the more you shop, the more you benefit by receiving raffle tickets for each purchase for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

As Simon mentioned, this year fashion meets art as the event coincides with the monthly First Friday Art Walk. For this special collaboration, the Cornell Art Museum is hosting #LoveDelray Artist Fashion Pop-ups featuring the works of William DeBilzan, Amanda Johnson and James Knill. Guests will meet the artists and peruse their artwork while enjoying the sounds of classical guitarist Dorian Avila.

We are currently in the midst of fashion weeks spanning the globe, from NYC, London, Milan and Paris, but we are fortunate to not have to travel far with the #LoveDelray Fashion Experience.

Here are all the details you need to know for this series of upcoming stylish events!
