Boca West Children’s Foundation’s annual Golf Challenge returns on March 24, and it aims to break fundraising records to support underserved youths.
Boca West Children’s Foundation (BWCF) expects to have its biggest Golf Challenge yet, with an estimated $650,000—up from $600,000 last year—being raised to support the organization’s 36 nonprofit partners and the vital work they do for at-risk youths across Palm Beach and Broward counties. This year’s tournament also holds special significance for BWCF, as it will be the first without Arthur Adler, who founded the organization and helped establish the tournament in 2012, and passed away November of last year. In honor of Adler, the tournament has been renamed the Arthur Adler Memorial Golf Challenge.
“Arthur Adler was a visionary who believed in the power of the community coming together to change the trajectory for children in need,” BWCF Executive Director Pamela Weinroth says in a press release. “He loved making a difference, and he also loved golf. By renaming our annual golf challenge in his memory, we’re ensuring his legacy continues to inspire our work and bring people together for a meaningful cause.”
Boca West Country Club will open its doors to the public on March 24, inviting the community to play its four 18-hole private courses, designed by Arnold Palmer, Jim Fazio and Pete Dye. Participants can also look forward to a brunch spread, a celebratory dinner and awards ceremony, and of course, the Duck Drop to win a $2,500 cash prize.
“This year’s golf challenge is about more than just a day on the greens,” says Weinroth. “It’s an occasion for the entire community to unite in support of the children we serve and to celebrate a life well-lived, one that reminds us all of the impact we can make.”
