“The way we dress is a part of the person we show others,” said renowned Spain-based fashion designer Adolfo Domínguez. “We wear the map of our lives etched upon our features. Clothing as a second skin.”
This idea, complimented by design principles of beauty, poetry and simplicity, are the foundation for Domínguez’s brand-new boutique at the Town Center mall in Boca Raton. It’s only the second store to open in the United States and highlights the designer’s 2016 Fall/Winter Collection for men and women.
“ … We are very excited to bring our second boutique to Boca Raton as the social and holiday season begins,” said Domínguez.
For women, Domínguez returned to casual and functional looks, which is the core nature of the brand. Clothes are colored in shades of light gray, camel, military green, black, navy and pale pink, among others.
Garments range from stylish to staples, including capes, Spencer jackets, long waistcoats, pinafores and more. A touch of English inspiration is visible through Prince of Wales check, Harris tweed and herringbone fabrics. Necklines, sleeves and hemlines are asymmetrical.
For men, Domínguez looked at artistic and bohemian trends for inspiration. These themes are visible in pants and tailored garments.
Navy, khaki and burgundy earth tones are juxtaposed with shades of white, gray, indigo, white and sky blue for menswear. The ‘50s and ‘70s make a nostalgic appearance, too, via collarless shirts and knitted fabrics.
Shoes and accessories are available for men and women along with fragrances and eyewear.
The Adolfo Domínguez brand plans to open another boutique in Brickell City Centre in Miami in the upcoming weeks.
