The Boca Baby Boutique Boom

Boca Raton, Florida—where shopping is a pleasure! And where shopping for your baby or toddler can be as fun as hitting up Nordstrom during their epic annual sale. As a mom, I enjoy shopping for my daughter even more than I do for myself. Funny how things change, right?

Before my child was born, I scoured local baby shops for furniture and accessories (and quickly realized that her room could easily end up looking more stylish than the rest of our house), and now I love to visit hidden children’s store gems around Boca for special occasion frocks and baby gifts.

Here’s your Boca Mom Talk on my favorite Boca baby boutiques all owned by local moms!

Elegant Child Boutique

Pretty much the only upscale children’s store in downtown Boca Raton (unless you count Mizner Park’s Janie & Jack store), Elegant Child opened its doors in 2006 selling beautiful children’s clothes and gifts to local residents and visitors alike. Founder Rene Barth and daughter Rebecca run the store and pride themselves in offering caring personal service to their customers. It also offers gift-wrapping, shipping, monogramming and special orders. It’s perfect for busy parents and grandparents who are short on time or struggle to find that perfect baby registry gift! JoBella Girls Boutique

This girlie store is a dream come true for my 4-year-old daughter, and for me when I’m looking for the perfect baby shower gift for a little lady! Located in West Boca Raton, JoBella Girls Boutique is dedicated to providing the most recent and stylish brands for girls—infant to tween. Owner Jo Ann Penkalski opened its doors in early 2016 and offers fun activities for kids (in addition to shopping) in-store.

Ever wanted to craft a tutu for a kid? She has a table for that! How about making your own lip gloss? Yep, she can help you with that, too! My daughter and I love the interactive fun at JoBella Girls Boutique.

Show & Tell Consignments

If you’re looking for a deal on baby clothing or gear, then this East Boca store is for you! Picture this: you (or perhaps some new grandparents you know) just found out that a tiny visitor or two is coming to visit to escape the cold up north. You also just realized that you gave away your last high chair and “pack & play” because hey, you don’t need that stuff anymore! You have big kids. You’re de-cluttering in honor of the New Year. But now you need that stuff again. Whoops. Enter Show & Tell Consignments. Simply purchase any baby gear item (strollers, high chairs, bassinets, pack & plays, etc.) at its normal retail price and then return it when you are done using it for 40 percent of your original payment back. And if you decide to keep the item—not a problem! Rest assured, you’ve already gotten a great deal by simply purchasing your gear at a top children’s consignment store in Boca. I love it.
