It’s Battle Country Club in Boca Raton in February as chefs from five of the city’s toniest country clubs go toque to toque in a cooking competition to benefit Hospice of Palm Beach County.
In true Iron Chef style, the quintet of local chefs will be required to create a signature dish using an ingredient to be named later, with the results to be judged by a panel including our own Marie Speed, master sommelier Virginia Philip and father of “Floribbean” cookery, Norman Van Aken.
The competition will take place at the Broken Sound Club on Thursday, Feb. 2. Tickets go for $100 per person, which gets the chance to sample the chefs’ creations, sip cocktails and bid on a variety of food and wine-related products. VIP tickets cost $150 and includre a private pre-reception, a meet and greet with the judges, and high-end goodie bag. To get those tickets and more information, go to www.hpbcf.org.
