The Florida Magazine Association has released the finalists for the Charlie Awards—recognizing the best of magazine journalism in the state of Florida—and Boca magazine and its sister publications are in the running to win.
Boca magazine, Delray magazine, Worth Avenue magazine and 1926 were recognized across different categories, from editorial and design to digital and sales. Boca magazine is also a finalist for the coveted Best Overall Magazine, which it won in 2024.
“We all know the old saying—we don’t do this for the awards—but it is always appreciated to have your hard work recognized by out-of-state judges,” says Editor-in-Chief Christiana Lilly. “I’m proud of our team for producing the high-caliber magazines that we do. We truly have one of the most talented teams in the business.”
Categories include:
- Best Writing Feature — Tyler Childress (Boca magazine)
- Best Writing: In-Depth Reporting — Randy Schultz (Boca magazine)
- Best Traditional Illustration — Russ Tudor (Boca magazine)
- Best Photography: Cover — Aaron Bristol and Lori Pierino (Boca magazine)
