The Boca Raton Airport is producing its very own calendar for 2027—and its photography will provided by, potentially, you. From now through a submission window of Aug. 31, local professional photographers, amateur shutterbugs, and aviation buffs with a knack for composition are welcome to visit the free Airport Observation Area and capture takeoffs, landings, and the general atmosphere.
All photos must be taken from the Observation Area, a recent public addition to the airport that opened in January 2025. To find the area, follow a circular path to a deck with benches under a canopy of white sails. In the middle of the circle is a grassy space, with a green pole jutting into the sky with signage of airports and their codes.
If your image is selected for the calendar, it may also appear on the Boca Raton Airport’s social media channels, website, or other promotional materials, expanding the photo’s reach. Each person can submit up to three photographs, so edit and choose with intention. The photos cannot have watermarks, logos, or text overlays, and their resolution needs to be 300 DPI at minimum (most smartphone images won’t cut the mustard). Horizonal photos are preferred, and digital is recommended over film.
