FDR had his fireside chats with the American people during World War II, and in Boca Raton, the city is starting “Let’s Talk Boca,” a series of conversations with residents and the city manager.

The first “Let’s Talk Boca: Conversations with Your City Manager” will be hosted April 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Downtown Boca Raton Library. City Manager Mark Sohaney will be joined by Deputy City Managers Jim Zervis and Andy Lukasik.

According to a press release, “Let’s Talk Boca” will offer residents “an opportunity to meet the City’s leadership team, learn about their immediate and long-term priorities, and engage in meaningful dialogue about Boca Raton’s future.” The conversation will be followed by a Q&A session.

Sohaney became Boca Raton’s new city manager in September, following the long-time tenure of Leif Ahnell, and George Brown, who helped the city through its transition before bringing in Sohaney.

The next conversations will be on June 17 at Spanish River Library, Sept. 16 at the Downtown Library, and Dec. 2 at the Spanish River Library.

For those who cannot attend in person, “Let’s Talk Boca” will be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
