Café Centro’s Supper Club starts today

A Northwood stalwart in West Palm Beach has reinvented itself recently—new look, new chef, new menu and a fresh start. Welcome to Café Centro, which starts a supper club tonight, with jazz and pop sounds and Italian dishes. Tickets for this new Monday night feature are $25 per table seat, $10 per bar seat and these include a glass of house wine or beer. Purchasing an entrée is required.

Other entertainment plans for Café Centro are: Thursday Ladies Night, with soulful sounds by Tessie Porter; Friday Unwind, with smooth R&B and jazz with Gregg Jackson; Music is Life Saturdays, with duo Maycol & Lilian. Plan on a lot of music with your meal from Executive Chef Jamie Steinbrecher.

Truluck’s launches lunch service at The Galleria

If you’re bemoaning the closing of Truluck’s at Mizner Park (just before this venue won a Wine Spectator award, too!), then you’re in luck if you don’t mind driving a bit south.

Truluck’s Seafood, Steak and Crab House in Fort Lauderdale’s Galleria has been around a while, and just started serving lunch as well as dinner. Dishes include sashimi salad, beef tenderloin medallions, Faroe Island salmon, lobster roll, farmhouse burger and more, as well as a prix-fixe, three-course menu for $30. There’s also a Truluck’s in Miami. Breathe.
