While a ballot measure that would have legalized marijuana failed last year—despite receiving nearly 56% approval—the cannabis-curious can learn more about the health benefits of marijuana at the upcoming Cannabis Carnival in Delray Beach.

The carnival will set up on 5850 W. Atlantic Ave. on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 1 to 7 p.m. Hosted by MMJ Health, a medical marijuana doctors office, the event welcomes the community to enjoy a festive afternoon of games, giveaways and vendors. MMJ Health will also have doctors onsite available to provide medical marijuana card evaluations free of charge for eligible visitors with confirmed appointments, though they will still have to pay the $80 state fee. A list of qualifying conditions for a medical marijuana card can be found here.

Those new to the world of medical marijuana can learn more about the health benefits of cannabis from medical professionals and representatives from top dispensaries. Visitors can also enjoy live music, a cannabis-inspired fitness program, food trucks, and much more.

Note: Consumption of marijuana is strictly prohibited. Attendees must be aged 18+ and reserve a ticket at no cost here.
