The Boca magazine staff is proud to be a finalist for the Florida Magazine Association’s annual Charlie Awards in four categories.

Judges announced that the magazine is a finalist for:

  • Best Writing: In-Depth Reporting Consumer (magazines with 20,000 and over circulation) for “Slimed!” by Stacey Singer Deloye
  • Best Overall: Writing Consumer (magazines with 20,000 and over circulation)

“We’re really proud of the categories for which we’ve been nominated, which are central to the quality of our magazine,” said Marie Speed, editor-in-chief.

The awards are ranked bronze, silver, and Charlie. Boca magazine has been a long-time winner at the ceremony, including last year with 10 awards.

The Florida Magazine Association has recognized the Sunshine State’s magazine industry since 1957, and this year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony in Orlando on Aug. 10 during the Florida Media Conference.
