Being that Halloween is my favorite holiday, I’m delighted that Delray Beach’s Death or Glory has opened a Death or Gory Halloween Pop-Up Bar now. We can start things off in a spooky way with a fun bar décor serving up drinks in specially designed tiki mugs or chemistry beakers.
Inside those vessels, try drinks such as a Dead on Arrival (lemon Hart rums, falernum, passionfruit, lime), or Bite Me (Milagro tequila, lime, agave, Malbec floater) or Staying Positive Testing Negative 13 (Hendrick’s gin, lime, lillet blanc, Cointreau, absinthe mist) and more.
And for now, the pop-up bar is creepin’ folks out in Hellray Beach, of course.

Chez Marie celebrates 5 years with party
Reaching your 5th birthday in SoFla’s restaurant world is no small feat, so our chapeaus are off to Chez Marie French Bistro in Boca Raton. Celebrating that fact will be a Sept. 26 party, from 5 to 9 p.m., with entertainment by French singer Thiery Khalfa.
A special $29.90 prix-fixe, three-course menu will be served in addition to the regular, delicious menu (yes, I reviewed it and it’s terrific), and there will be deals on wines by the glass or bottle from Sept. 24 to 28.
