What: Art Embracing Hope
When: Thursday, Nov. 17; 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: First floor atrium of the 110 East Atlantic Ave. building (between Cafe de France and Prime Steakhouse), Delray Beach
The lowdown: Expect an evening of eye candy—from jaw-dropping, inspirational works of art to a fashion show by designer Linda Zamora—with benevolent undertones. The works of nearly two dozen top local and international artists will be on display; each piece sold will largely benefit Food for the Poor, the international relief and development agency that feeds millions of poverty-stricken people throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
In addition: Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails; desserts by Carpe Diem; wine bar by Rex Goliath Wine; cigar rolling station by Habaneros Cigars; Caribbean music by steel drummer Brian Henry; silent auction and raffle.
Cost: Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door
