Delray foodies will soon be trading chicken wings for glasses of wine.

Earlier this month, an email was sent out announcing that Duffy’s Sports Grill on Federal Highway will be closing on March 29 after 17 years in business.

And as is customary, a new business already has its sights set on the space—the building is allegedly set to be demolished and will be replaced by Cooper’s Hawk, a wine-forward, “modern-casual” restaurant and bar. Currently, the nearest locations are in Wellington and Coconut Creek.

We can imagine that the new Cooper’s Hawk will have the same offerings as its other locations, which includes a menu of contemporary American dishes, tasting room, artisan market, and a wine club with discounts, speciality blends and rewards.

We’ll toast to that.
