Hurricane Ian’s devastation has been extraordinary so these local restaurants are doing what they can to help survivors. If you’re looking to eat out this week, supporting these restaurants is one way to help our West Coast neighbors.

Deck 84

This Thursday, Oct. 13, stop by Deck 84 for their hurricane relief pet supplies drive. Pet Supplies & Sips, benefitting Tri-County Animal Rescue, asks locals to donate items including medium and large dog beds, durable dog toys, leashes, collars and treats. Dog food is not requested now. Donors will receive a raffle ticket for restaurant gift cards and a complimentary drink. And if you want to indulge in a specialty cocktail, order the Peanut Butter Pup (Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Frangelico, and Baileys Irish Cream) with 50% of sales going to the nonprofit. The event, in partnership with Jonathan Eisdorfer of Align Right Realty, will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Carrot Express

Partnering with World Central Kitchen, this healthy eatery is donating $1 from all platters in all of their 15 statewide locations for the rest of the month. The relief organization visits disaster areas with the goal of feeding those in need whether that’s first responders or those affected. Carrot Express platters include Scottish salmon, chicken breast in a pesto sauce and tuna tostones topped with avocado.
