A Holiday for Everyone’s Tastes, Lilly Pultizer Drinks and More

brussels-sprouts

I do hope you’re pulling out the recipes or the dinner reservations for all of the national food-related holidays coming up.

What? Not sure when National Roast Leg of Lamb Day falls? It’s May 7. This past weekend was National Beer Day.

How about National Rice Ball Day, National Brussels Sprouts Day, National Hummus Day, National Kale Day, National Escargot Day and…well, just pick your favorite.

I thought I snuck in a few funny-but-not-true days above, but then found out there is a National Brussels Sprouts Day (Jan. 31) and a National Kale Day (Oct. 4), so that joke is on me.

Here’s a list for the next few months. Enjoy planning these celebrations!

April 16 – National Egg Benedict Day

April 17 – World Malbec Day

April 19 – National Rice Ball Day

May 5 – Cinco de Mayo

May 7 – National Roast Leg of Lamb

May 9 – National Shrimp and Foodie Day

May 13 – National Hummus Day

May 24- National Escargot Day

June 3 – National Egg Day

June 12 – International Falafel Day

June 15 – Lobster Day

June 19 – National Martini Day

Because it’s Monday and hot weather means Lilly

If you’re stopping at the beach Where The Boys Are (film reference, for those younger than 50) down south, you may want to try a Lilly Pulitzer cocktail at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.

During April, if you buy one of these oh-so-cute drinks, you’ll receive a special recipe card, napkin and umbrella, along with a free gift (show your receipt) at the Lilly Pulitzer pop-up store on Las Olas Boulevard. All part of the Lilly appeal—um, apparel.
