We are well into the 2020 giving season, and there are a lot of ways you can give back. Here are a few ways to help out, and eat well while you’re doing it:
Visit Santa Paws and Puppy Pit in Delray
Johnnie Brown’s is sponsoring a “Santa Paws and the Puppy Pit” event on Dec. 19, starting at 10 a.m. with ‘Doggy and Me’ Yoga led by instructor Marisa Manipura. The hour-long session is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is strongly recommended as space is limited to 20 participants.
After that are pre-holiday dog adoptions from a local rescue, Pawtential K9 Inc., until 4 p.m. – with Johnnie Brown’s covering adoption fees for the first three adoptees!
Along with food and drinks available from the restaurant, there will be live music, raffle prizes, and a chance to make a donation at Johnnie Brown’s puppy kissing booth. Tickets will be $1 for a kiss and $2 to watch.

Bolay gives free meal to a frontline worker
For every $25 worth of gift cards purchased from any Bolay location, you will have the option to donate a meal to a frontline worker, or receive a $5 reward for yourself. The cards can be purchased online or in the restaurants.

Hoffman’s Chocolates reveals holiday plans

While the popular Winter Wonderland attraction won’t be around this year thanks to the virus, you can still find Hoffman’s Chocolates building a 12-foot Christmas tree, all decked out with more than 600 custom ornaments at the Greenacres factory store.
The outside will also be lit up with thousands of lights, and the company is pairing with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital with a special ornament for sale at all Hoffman’s locations, with proceeds going to the hospital foundation. Of course, Hoffman’s will still sell its famous chocolate treats, such as the chocolate-covered pretzels and pretzel bites, gourmet popcorn, cashew crunch and more (pictured).
