Here are some local specials to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.

  • Brighton Beach Bagel & Bakery, 14587 S. Military Trail, Delray Beach; 561/270-3771; https://brightonbeachbagel.com/ — Offering dinner to-go packages on Sept. 18 (orders must be placed by Sept. 12): for two – $49.95; for four – $89.95. Includes choices such as roasted herb chicken, matzo ball soup and beef brisket. (For Sept. 27, you can order “break fast” dishes to observe Yom Kippur, also.)
  • TooJay’s Gourmet Deli, all locations, will be open for Rosh Hashanah on Sept. 18-19. Reservations suggested, as seating is limited. Also available are pre-orders online until Sept. 15. 
  • Doris Italian Market & Bakery, all locations, is offering a special Rosh Hashanah Dinner Package. Priced at $19.95 per person, package offers matzo ball soup; chopped liver; a choice of one beef brisket, turkey breast, grilled London Broil or roasted chicken; carrot & sweet potato tzimmes; the choice of green bean almondine or broccoli; and a choice of potato pancakes, kugel or roasted potatoes.   • Folklore Culinary, a SoFla company offering private chef services, is offering a Rosh Hashanah menu that’s either traditional or includes dishes such as maple-glazed sesame salmon with capers/dill and crushed garden peas ($22 per person).
