Local charity Boca Helping Hands is raising awareness about hunger through its support of Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month, which takes place throughout September. Almost 200,000 Palm Beach County residents don’t have enough money or resources to ensure regular, adequate meals. So, for September, Boca Helping Hands has created a month-long calendar of daily activities to encourage those interested in lending a helping hand.

Each day the calendar suggests a new activity that includes signing up to volunteer, following Boca Helping Hands on social media, donating to its Thanksgiving campaign, attending an FAU football game for free by bringing in unopened cereal boxes or wearing orange in support of Hunger Action Day on Sept. 23.

Check out the calendar here.
