If we bought the latest canned alcoholic drinks purely on the basis of creative and colorful labels, then Tanqueray would win hands down with its new Classic Gin & Tonic, Rangpur Lime Gin & Soda and Sevilla Orange Gin & Soda.

These 12-ounce, 6 percent alcohol drinks are packaged in slim, light, aluminum cans that are embossed with beautiful designs ($14.99 for a four-pack). Luckily, these drinks taste as sparkly as they look. The prettiest is the Sevilla Orange can, and that goes for the drink itself, too. It’s a light peach-colored bubbly drink (140 calories) with a slight orange tang that’s fresh and clean. I could drink that frequently over ice.

The Classic G&T (165 calories) has a bite to it and tastes the closest to the G&Ts I dispense from my home bar. Add a slice of lime and some ice and it’s refreshing. Same goes for the Rangpur Lime gin and soda (123 calories), with a definite sweet-ish lime hit, but an overall dry drink.

Try adding these to your home bar; they started appearing in Florida stores this month. I’ll make room for one of the refreshing Sevilla Orange gin drinks on a regular basis.
