If you like barbecue, you know about Troy Davis’ two BBQ spots in Boca Raton and Boynton. Now he’s opening a third spot for pop-ups in West Palm Beach, partnering with Subculture Group, which will soon include The Peach, Rodney Mayo’s latest venue. The Peach–slated to open this year–will be a “mixed use artist cooperative playground with lots of events,” he says on his Facebook posting.

Meanwhile, Troy’s BBQ pop-up opened this past weekend for three days (that’s the definition of a pop-up!), so keep an eye out for the great food to be there again in the future at https://www.bbqtroys.com/. This first pop-up included a $1 meal for front line workers and teacher, with vouchers online.

Troy’s BBQ in Boca is having Sunday Soul Brunches in September, from noon to 6 p.m., with a special menu, covered outdoor seating, bottomless drinks and music.

While we’re talking about Mayo, don’t forget his Hospitality Helping Hands organization is still helping people with a weekly grocery drive now located at the Port of Palm Beach.

Troy’s BBQ:

  • 1198 N. Dixie Highway, Boca Raton; 561/609-2469
  • 1920 S. Federal Highway, Boynton Beach; 561/740-1125
