It’s a renewed and refreshed Whale Raw Bar & Fish House (7617 State Route 7, 954-345-9190) with the just-completed overhaul of the Parkland seafooder’s interior and menu, plus the addition of a new management team.
A $10,000 redo of the 2,500-square-foot dining room added new seating and a brighter, lighter ambiance, while more than a dozen new dishes have been added to the menu by chef Victor Franco. Among the highlights: Bahamian scallops with sweet potato mash and vanilla-rum butter sauce, tuna tartare lettuce wraps with spicy peanut sauce, and skirt steak salad with greens, gorgonzola and crispy onion rings.
To show off the new dishes, from now until Oct. 15 anyone who purchases a newbie will get half off a second entrée of the same or lesser value. And just to show off in general, every night one table will be chosen at random to get their meal for free as part of the restaurant’s “On the House” promotion.
