October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there are plenty of ways to get involved with a cause that’s close to many of our hearts. These are some of the events and fundraisers happening in South Florida this October to help raise awareness and find a cure for the disease.
Enerzy Exchange
Enerzy Exchange Yoga in Boca Raton will host a special donation class to benefit Susan G. Komen of Palm Beach County. This class will also be the studio’s inaugural First Friday “after hours” event.

Tin Roof
Tin Roof on Atlantic Avenue will feature a “pretty in pink” cocktail for two weeks, with proceeds benefitting Susan G. Komen of Palm Beach County.

Mammograms and Mocktails
The Lillian S. Wells Women’s Health Center at Broward Health Medical Center will be providing free mammograms to qualified participants with appointments in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Circle House Coffee
Throughout the month of October, Ft. Lauderdale’s Circle House Coffee will offer special pink menu items, and donate portions of proceeds to the Pink Angels Memorial Fund.

Town Center Mall
The Boca Raton Town Center Mall is partnering with More Than Pink to support Susan G. Komen during the month of October. Shoppers who make a donation of $10 or more to Komen in October will receive a discount pass that is redeemable for 15-25% off at of participating stores.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale More Than Pink Walk
Biscayne Blvd. in Miami will play host to Susan G. Komen’s More Than Pink walk on the morning of October 12th.

South Florida’s Craft Show- Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Korina’s Crafty Creations is hosting a craft show and raffle to benefit Susan G. Komen on October 13th, with a goal of $3,000 to help fight breast cancer.

The Rainforest Cafe Rosé Fundraiser
The Rainforest Cafe will be donating proceeds from every bottle of Chloé Rosé sold in the month of October to benefit the Breast Cancer Charities of America. The chain, which has locations at Walt Disney World and Sawgrass Mills, has set a goal of $40,000 for the fundraiser.

Quarterdeck cocktail fundraiser
Throughout the month of October, 25% of proceeds from pink drinks at Quarterdeck will be donated to the Pink Angels Memorial Foundation.

Think Pink at the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort
Kitchen 305 at the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort will be hosting its 10th annual Think Pink event on October 16th. The event will feature a raffle, a DJ, all-you-can-eat lobster for $49, with proceeds benefitting the Memorial Breast Cancer Center.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day Event
To increase understanding and awareness of the important choices that survivors of breast cancer must make, Boca Raton Regional Hospital will be hosting an informative panel lecture on Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day.

16th Annual Go Pink Luncheon
The Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation’s 16th Annual Go Pink Luncheon will be taking place at the Boca Raton Resort & Club on October 18th. Dr. Ken Jeong, famous for roles in “Community” and “The Hangover” films, will be speaking at the event.

Boca Raton Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will be taking place on the Florida Atlantic University campus on October 27th, with check-in beginning at 6:30am and the walk kicking off at 8:30am.

The Mondrian
The Mondrian on South Beach is rebranding its weekly Sundance Pool Party for the month of October as Sundance Goes Pink. A specialty menu of drinks inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness Month will benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation.
