Boca magazine is pleased to introduce Christiana Lilly, the incoming editor-in-chief of JES Media, following her mentor, Marie Speed, a 34-year veteran of the company. She previously served as the web editor, giving her a deep understanding of both digital and print products and how to customize content effectively for consumers.
As the daughter of a foreign service officer, Christiana lived across various countries in Asia before returning stateside to attend the University of Florida. Her work history includes roles at the Sun Sentinel’s Forum Publishing Group, HuffPost Miami, Boca magazine, Luxe Interiors + Design, and as a freelancer she’s been published in the Washington Post, Teen Vogue, Shondaland, Fort Lauderdale magazine, Boat International, Out South Florida, The New Pelican and many more titles. Her work has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists’ Florida chapter, Florida Magazine Association and the Florida Press Club. She is also the author of “100 Things to Do in Fort Lauderdale Before You Die.” She is past president of the Society of Professional Journalists chapter here.
Christiana enjoys traveling with her husband, Jack (bucket list spots include Turkey and Morocco), exploring new small businesses, reading, kickboxing, true crime documentaries, and taking her rambunctious dog Miles to the vet (again).
