City Tap House opens in CityPlace

Finally, the space that was Brewzzi will become City Tap House at CityPlace, as this new restaurant opens Aug. 3 across from City Cellar. City Tap House has locations in Philadelphia and Washington D.C., too, and serves American-regional cuisine, with an emphasis (pictured) on draft, cask and bottled craft brews. The restaurant (700 Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach, 561/508-8525) will occupy both the inside area, as well as the fun outside bar area, which is great for the sports-watching crowd. Dishes include flatbreads, pizzas and lots of vegetarian options (that will be nice!), mussels, lemon-herb chicken, salads, Florida red snapper and more. Daily happy hours will feature $1 raw oysters, with entertainment on the weekends and “brewery-centric special events.” City Tap House will be open on weekends for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kelsey Theater site for “Bourbon, Bacon, Biscuits and Beer”

“Bourbon, Bacon, Biscuits and Beer” will rule the night on Aug. 6 in Lake Park’s Kelsey Theater (700 Park Ave., Lake Park), as Hampton Forks Kitchen & Table co-hosts the event with Obeo Society. There will be a supply of specialty bourbons and unique whiskies, as well as a five-course dinner, which starts at 7 p.m. and costs $75 per person, plus tax. Find tickets here.

“Hook, Wine & Sinker” spotlights wine, food and artists

You can mix with Boca Raton residents and local artists at “Hook, Wine & Sinke,” on Aug. 11, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center(201 Plaza Real). The cost is $60 in advance or $75 at the door, and includes the food, the wine, live and silent auctions and raffles. This is part of the Boca Chamber Festival Days event and is sponsored by Twin Palms Center for the Disabled.
