It’s almost time to lace up for the Run for the Ribbons in Boca Raton. The 5K run/walk and one-mile run is June 5 at 7 a.m.
Proceeds go to the League of Ribbons, benefitting the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute.
The 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk starts and finishes at the Lynn Cancer Institute (701 NW 13th St.), and the course takes participants through Boca Raton’s scenic Old Floresta neighborhood. The cost is $35.
For those who aren’t keen on going the longer distance, there’s a one-mile run/walk option, which also starts at Lynn Cancer Institute at 7 a.m. The cost to participate in the one-miler is $25.
The first 800 pre-registered walkers and runners will get a commemorative shirt, and there will be plenty of refreshments and fun after the races.
