Virginia Philip Wine, Spirits & Academy

On May 7, a Kosta Browne wine tasting from 6 to 7 p.m. This California winery makes pinot noir and produced the only pinot noir awarded the “Wine of the Year” award. Five wines tasted, $40 per person. Harvest Seasonal Grill

This very good restaurant is hosting its first plant-based dinner, with added wine tastings available, on May 22. A five-course meal from Executive Chef Bill Ring will include dishes such as rhubarb & beet tartare (with Prosecco!), the Impossible Meatballs and a lot more. Plus dessert, of course. Hoffman’s Chocolates holds Mother’s Day class

Now the kids can create chocolate gifts for mom at the May 11 chocolatier class at Hoffman’s Chocolates in Greenacres. Make chocolate letters spelling M-O-M. Plus a sample of the gourmet ice cream. Class starts at 10:30 a.m., and cost $14.95 per person. Reservations are required; call 561/967-2213.
