It has been, and continues to be, an interesting summer of special, prix fixe meals. If you read this space, you’ve got a good list going already.

It’s time to remind you about the July 28 four-course dinner, paired with Languedoc wines, at Café Boulud (301 Australian Ave., Palm Beach, 561/655-6060). This is France’s largest wine-producing area, with a large variety of products. The cost is $95, excluding tax/gratuity, with a reception at 6:45 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Chef Sommelier Jeremy Broto-Mur will pair the wines with dishes prepared by Executive Chef Rick Mace and Pastry Chef Alex McKinstry.
Also be aware of the new Guest Chef Series at Café Boulud, with dinners on Aug. 11 (Chef Mace with Jardin owner/Chef Jordan Lerman) and Sept. 15 (Chef Mace with Buccan/Grato Chef Clay Conley). Both dinners are $95, and include a cocktail and wine pairings. Reservations are recommended for all of these.
A five-course, prix fixe wine dinner at Rhythm Café (3800 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, 561/833-3406) on Aug. 4 will include the Walla Walla, Wash., wine from Waterbrook Winery with dishes from Co-owner/Chef Ken Rzab such as quail, wild mushroom ravioli, lamb stew and more. The cost is $75 and includes tax/gratuity.
