It was while in Hawaii that Boca Raton native Gayle Wentworth discovered a sense of calm unlike anything she had ever felt at home.
“In Hawaii, the overall feeling is more relaxing,” Gayle says. “People aren’t in so much of a hurry and they take more time for themselves.”
Recognizing that not everyone can travel to Hawaii, Wentworth created a little Hawaiian oasis in the heart of Boca Raton – The Maui Spa and Wellness Center.
Guests visiting the Maui Spa, a destination spa unlike any in South Florida, can relax in the Zen Lounge or in the Kipahulu Room under the stars, where they can begin to unwind in a darkened room while being treated to a cup of tea and a warm footbath.
The Maui Spa and Wellness Center offers a full menu of services including unique water therapies, massages, facials, organic nail care and acupuncture. A serene rooftop garden is available for those who want to spend more time relaxing; it’s also available for classes, meetings and special events.
“My favorite part of what I do is helping people relax and educating them on the importance of relaxation,” Gayle says. “The Maui Spa is a venue for education about holistic wellness.”
